Johnny was the heir to Moravian Radical Missionaries of Pennselvania and through Swedenborg the Esoteric Occult Christianity of Boehme. He helped spread these ideas during the Millenarian Evangelical revivals of the 1820’s & 1830’s.
He did more than anyone else to turn Puritan New England into the New Jeruselam that birthed Mormonism, American Occultism, Temperance, Christian Science, and the New Thought Movement which made Positive Thinking the foundation of a new American Modernity
