The Prophet Mani’s mix of Plato, Jesus, Zoroaster, Paul, and Buddha spread to China and Rome within decades. Mani’s innovative Buddhist inspired cell structure allowed a viral epidemic of syncretic religion to spread faster than any earlier Social Movement. Within a few decades of Mani’s death in the third century a Social Movement had missionary cells linking France to China. That is insane.

There was no central dogma, so the Manichees of Rome may not have recognized the religion of Jesus Buddha. Mani was radically syncretic, like Zinzendorf’s Moravians one and a half Millenia later in the 1700’s.

When the Mongolia hordes unified the world in the 1200’s they also used an amazing cell structure, like a pyramid scheme. As they expanded in the steppes, they integrated every steppe tribe they conquered into their cells until they formed a tsunami crashing though all the state armies they met. It are like the Manichees on horseback. Since the Uighurs were the only state to convert to the Prophet Mani’s Gnostic Christianity, I expect that we will one day trace the Mongolian Horde’s Organizational structures back to Mani and ultimately Asoka’s India.
